My goal is to produce ideas that are creative and unique, that would allow me to express my creativeness and help people bring their ideas to life.
I intend to continue the idea of The Artificial and The Natural from my concept book and create a series of Collages that represents the way The Artificial and The Natural can coexist. I enjoy taking the approach where I can represent the beauty of both the artificial and the natural through their coexistence.
My top three design principles from Dieter Ram are that the design is innovative, useful, and aesthetic. An innovative design calls for everyone's attraction, something different that captures one's eyes and allows them to wonder the designer's thought process when designing their product. A useful design is utterly important as there is no use for a design that isn't useful to society. The design needs to be aesthetically pleasing as the design's looks and features will attract the audience the most. I intend to create collages that allow for the natural element to mix in with the artificial component in a way that will enable it to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
For my collages, I will incorporate both digital and physical elements to further enhance the quality and outcome of the collages. i will use a range of magazines and collate a range of images to incorporate in my designs as well find images online that will allow for a useful outcome.
I envision that my final collage series will be blown up from its original size to a much larger size and be hung on a wall surrounded by spotlights aimed at various directions to allow for a more intriguing effect to the final outcomes.
